Web Sites

• Site design and setup: $200*.
• Standard page: $40.
• Feedback/registration form: $50 (includes "received" page).
• Page with PHP code: $40 up*.
• Hosting: $5 per MB (or part thereof), $30/month minimum. Hosting of particularly large sites will be quoted on a case-by-case basis.
• Multiple domain names pointing to the same web site cost no extra (you still pay for each domain).
• Each extra web site within a customer's web space is $10/month. Each site can have multiple domain names.
• New Zealand domain names: $38**.
• .com, .net, .org, .info domain names: $30**.

We pride ourselves on the quality of our personal service. We will design your web site according to your specifications. We don't take cheap shortcuts when designing sites, and we make sure that they work with all browsers and platforms possible (within reason).

PHP code allows web pages to have dynamic (changing) content. For example, the Daily Devotion on the Sold Out For Jesus web site is a page which automatically updates with a new message every day (including leap days). A whole year of daily messages is on the site which means visitors can read a different message every day they visit the site, without the page being manually updated.

Our price for hosting is competitive with the best. Standard features included with our hosting service include:

Online Databases

*This is for a straight-forward database with all the search features most people need to get started. Price may be more depending on the complexity of the database and the features required.

Online databases are a necessity for many companies and organisations and even when they're not absolutely necessary they can certainly make many tasks much easier.

We use PHP and MySQL, which means your online database will be cost effective and fast. Combined with our efficient site design, this means your customers or clients are not going to be waiting around for their pages and data to load.

Web Graphics

Navigation bar looking a bit tired? Spice up your site with custom-made graphics created with the latest software. If you want rollover graphics we create all the necessary javascript as well. We will supply the graphics and source code with instructions on how to incorporate it all into your existing web page, or we can add it in for you.

We can also recompress your existing pictures, again using the latest in compression software. The only difference for your web site visitors is that your web site will load much quicker. It's not uncommon for us to be able to halve the file size of a picture with little or no noticeable loss in quality. This makes for significant savings in download time, and means visitors to your site will be more likely to want to stay on your site - simply because it's easier and faster for them to view pages.

For example, an organisation had two maps on its web site showing how to find their office. These were shrunk from a total 280kB to just 80kB - a saving of over 70% - with no noticeable loss in quality. Or some photos of a backpacker were shrunk from just under 650KB total to just 100KB - an 85% saving - still with great quality.

Another example, a customer supplied a logo provided by one of their sponsors. We recompressed it from 156kB to just 7kB - a greater than 95% reduction in file size - with no loss of quality.

In a slightly less common situation, we came across one site (by a professional web design company!) that had used two full-size BMP files instead of reduced size JPEG-compressed files. We compressed the two BMPs from almost 4.4MB to just 26kB - a saving of 99.4%.
